Best Season to Visit
April–May and September–October are ideal — mild temperatures, good air quality and manageable crowds. Avoid January (cold, down to -10°C), August (hot and humid) and Golden Week (Oct 1–7) for company visits.
Visa Requirements
Most nationalities (UK, EU, Australia, NZ, Japan, S. Korea) enter visa-free for up to 15 days as of 2026. US, Canada and India nationals require a standard tourist (L) or group travel visa — allow 2–3 weeks processing time.
Getting There
Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) and Daxing International Airport (PKX) serve most international routes. High-speed rail to Shanghai: 4.5 hrs. High-speed rail to Xi'an: 4.5 hrs.
