It does not have to. China's high-speed rail links these cities in 25 minutes to 4.5 hours, so travel is fast and part of the experience. We deliberately cap most itineraries at 2–4 cities and build in recovery time, so groups gain breadth without the exhaustion of constant transit.

Seasons, holidays and visas

Avoid Golden Week (Oct 1–7) for company visits, and book months ahead around the Canton Fair (April and October). Most nationalities enter visa-free for up to 15 days as of 2026; US, Canada and India nationals should allow 2–3 weeks for a visa. We flag all of this during planning.

Can we combine several cities into one program?
Yes — most programmes combine 2–4 cities. Popular pairings include Beijing + Shanghai (history and innovation), Shenzhen + Guangzhou + Dongguan (the Pearl River Delta tech and manufacturing belt) and Shanghai + Suzhou + Hangzhou (the Yangtze Delta). High-speed rail makes multi-city itineraries fast and straightforward.
How much does a multi-city China program cost per person?
Per-person pricing varies by city, program type, duration and group size. As a guide, executive programmes range from around USD 2,200 to 4,500 per person and educational programmes from around USD 1,600 to 3,600 per person, depending on the cities chosen. International flights are excluded. We provide an itemised written quote within 48 hours.
How many cities should a China program include?
For a 7–10 day program we recommend 2–3 cities to balance depth with manageable travel time. Adding a fourth city suits longer 12–14 day itineraries. We help you choose the right combination based on your group's focus and available days.
Which cities are best for executive versus educational groups?
Executive and technology delegations gravitate to Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Dongguan and Suzhou's industrial park. Educational and cultural groups favor Beijing, Shanghai, the classical gardens of Suzhou, Hangzhou's West Lake and Chengdu's panda base. Most cities serve both audiences with tailored itineraries.
How do groups travel between cities in China?
Primarily by high-speed rail, which is fast, comfortable and itself an experience for students. For example, Beijing to Shanghai takes 4.5 hours, Shanghai to Hangzhou 45 minutes, Shanghai to Suzhou 25 minutes and Shenzhen to Guangzhou 30 minutes. We arrange all intercity travel and transfers.
When is the best time to visit these cities?
Spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) are ideal across most of China — mild temperatures and good conditions for both sightseeing and company visits. Avoid Chinese National Day Golden Week (Oct 1–7) for corporate visits, and book early around the Canton Fair in Guangzhou (April and October).
