Is This Right for Your Group?

A Structured Program, Not a Generic Tour

A quick way to tell whether a CST executive study tour fits what your group needs.

This is the right fit when…

  • You want structured company access to firms like BYD, Huawei, DJI and Baidu — not a sightseeing trip with a "business" label.
  • Your group has a clear learning objective (industry intelligence, benchmarking, market entry).
  • You value expert briefings, facilitated debriefs and a written report over a packed tourist schedule.
  • You have a group (private programmes) or an individual happy to join a monthly cohort.
✕ Likely Not Your Fit
  • Leisure travellers, or groups wanting a pure cultural-sightseeing holiday
  • Groups with no defined industry focus or learning objective
  • Anyone expecting unvetted, walk-in access to companies without lead time

Section 03 · FAQ — Corporate Visits

Every Question, Answered Honestly

How many company visits are included in a typical program?
For a 7-day executive program we typically schedule 10–14 company or institutional visits, averaging 2–3 per day. Each visit is scheduled with adequate time for presentations, facility walkthroughs and open Q&A rather than a rushed walk-past. Every visit is complemented by expert briefings and facilitated debrief sessions.
What does a company visit actually look like inside?
A typical visit runs 2–3 hours: a company-overview presentation (20–30 min), a facility tour (production line, showroom or R&D lab), a Q&A with company representatives, and brief informal networking. We prepare your group in advance with sharp, relevant questions to maximise the value of Q&A time.
How much does a China study tour cost per person?
All programmes are priced on a custom basis. As a planning guide: 5-day program USD 3,500–5,500 per person; 7-day program USD 4,500–7,000 per person; 10-day program USD 6,000–9,500 per person. This includes ground transport, 4-star accommodation, meals, guides, company-visit arrangements and the post-tour briefing report. International flights are not included.
How far in advance should we book?
We recommend 6–8 weeks for standard programmes. Certain visits — BYD factory floor, Huawei campus — require more lead time due to their approval process. If your dates are urgent, contact us immediately and we will tell you honestly what is achievable.
Do delegates need to speak Mandarin?
Not at all. Our bilingual professional guides handle all communication throughout — at company visits, restaurants, hotels and transport hubs. Every company presentation is simultaneously interpreted into English. Many delegates speak no Mandarin and navigate the entire trip with complete confidence.
Can we visit Huawei or BYD — is access restricted?
Both companies receive international delegations regularly. BYD offers factory-floor access and executive briefings. Huawei access includes campus tours and product-experience areas at its Bantian and Ox Horn campuses. We confirm access for every group in advance and always have comparable backup options if a specific visit is unavailable on your dates.
Is China safe for international business delegations?
China is one of the safest countries in the world for international visitors. In 13 years and 300+ programmes, we have never had a delegate experience a security incident of any kind. Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen all have international hospitals with English-speaking staff, and our team is reachable 24/7 throughout every program.
What happens after the visit — do you provide a report?
Every program includes a Post-Tour Strategic Briefing Report delivered within 5 business days: visit summaries, key data points, delegate consensus insights, recommended follow-up actions and a curated contact list — structured for boardroom presentation.
Set Expectations Honestly

Real Access — and What to Plan Around

The Myth We Hear Most

"A travel agent can arrange the same company visits."

They can't. Structured access to BYD, Huawei, DJI and Baidu comes from direct relationships built over 13+ years, paired with sector-literate briefings and bilingual interpretation. A generic agent can book hotels and flights — not a factory-floor executive session.

What to Plan Around

A few honest constraints.

  • Key visits (BYD factory floor, Huawei campus) need 6–8 weeks lead time for approval.
  • Itineraries stay flexible — if a host firm reschedules, we switch to a comparable backup.
  • Programmes are designed for groups; individuals join the monthly cohort tours.
Where We Shine

When CST Is the Strongest Choice

🏭

You need real access to named companies, not a showroom tour.

📊

You want a written strategic briefing report after the trip.

🗣

You need bilingual interpretation across every session.
